On June 29, 2018, Shandong Taikai Instrument Transformer Co., Ltd successfully sent 250kV GIS equipment PD simulation test platform purchased by Electric Power Research Institute of Guangxi Electric Power Grid Co., Ltd to Nanning. 

252kV GIS equipment PD simulation test platform adopts 252kV GIS outlet spacing as the carrier and associates with test transformer (built-in) and boost control system. The equipment simulates the defects of cracks and impurities of the basin insulator to identify PD pattern by setting a typical partial discharge simulation model and a defective basin insulator test unit on the GIS pipeline. The platform will play an important role in timely understanding of the internal defects of the equipment and realization of the status evaluation and risk assessment of the equipment for users.
