On April 1, 2026, the production launch meeting for the ultra-high voltage 1000kV tank-type capacitive voltage transformer (abbreviated as 1000kV tank-type CVT) and the first set of component certification ceremony were grandly held at Taikai South Industrial Park. Leaders and experts from State Grid Ultra-High Voltage Department, State Grid Ultra-High Voltage Construction Company, China Electric Power Research Institute, Wuhan NARI, as well as representatives from four major host manufacturers—Pinggao Electric, Xikai Electric, Shandong Electric, and New Northeast Electric—gathered on-site to jointly witness the industry's first ultra-high voltage core equipment officially entering mass production phase.
The meeting was chaired by Li Qian from State Grid Ultra High Voltage Construction Company. During the meeting, Taikai Instrument Transformer Company provided a special report on product technology research and development, production preparation, and other aspects. Leaders and experts from China Electric Power Research Institute, Wuhan NARI, Tianjin Electric Power Research Institute, and the four major host manufacturers offered professional guidance on product development, production support, and collaborative coordination. The product passed type testing in 2009, performed well during grid operation in the Huainan Ultra High Voltage Project in 2013, and was included in State Grid's procurement standards in 2024, winning bids for 39 units. The company has simultaneously established a 100,000-grade clean assembly workshop and built a full-chain closed-loop quality control system, completing production preparations for relevant national key ultra high voltage projects.
The participating experts conducted on-site inspections of the production workshop, process documentation, and component inspection procedures. They highly commended the company's production environment, manufacturing support capabilities, and quality control standards, confirming that the project has met the conditions for commencing mass production. All parties also engaged in in-depth discussions on production management, key aspects of manufacturing supervision, transportation protection measures, and on-site technical services, reaching a consensus on collaborative support mechanisms.
Liu Yan from the State Grid Ultra High Voltage Department attended the meeting and outlined work requirements: This project involves heavy tasks and high standards, necessitating all units to strengthen accountability, strictly control quality, enhance coordination, and ensure the successful initial commissioning and long-term stable operation of the equipment.
Han Changgeng, Chairman of Shandong Taikai Instrument Transformer Co., Ltd., concluded by stating that undertaking the national-level ultra-high voltage product production task reflects both industry trust in Taikai and the company's profound sense of responsibility and honor. The company has completed comprehensive production preparations, fully addressing all requirements from partner organizations, and is now ready for mass production. The on-site expert review aims to initiate production with the highest standards and strictest requirements, ensuring flawless product quality, timely delivery, and zero-defect outcomes.
This production launch meeting marks the official transition of Taikai's 1000kV tank-type CVT transformers from R&D phase to mass production and delivery stage. Moving forward, the company will uphold its core values of "integrity, pragmatism, and innovation," delivering this batch of products with first-class technology, manufacturing excellence, and service quality to meet stringent standards. Taikai remains committed to driving the high-quality development of China's ultra-high voltage power grid through its steadfast contributions.
